The Importance of Varanasi:
Varanasi also known as Banaras or Kashi is a city on the banks of the Ganges in the Uttar Pradesh state of North India, A major religious hub in India, it is the holiest of the seven sacred cities (SaptaPuri) in Hinduism, and played an important role in the development of Buddhism.
Buddha is believed to have founded Buddhism here around 528 BCE when he gave his first sermon, "The Setting in Motion of the Wheel of Dharma", at Sarnath, which is located on the outskirts of the city of Varanasi.
Day 1 or Day 2: Varanasi
Arrival at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport, Babatpur, Varanasi and transfer to Hotel for Check-In. (this can also happen on Day 1, again depending upon your arrival in New Delhi and transfer schedule to Varanasi)
Either way you will be engaging in the following activity on Day 2 in Varanasi.
City Sightseeing : Visiting the ancient temples
Boat cruise: at the river Ganges to observe the way of life of pilgrims by the Ghats.
